Homework
As a school we place great importance on the value of regular homework. Each Year Group has a gradually increasing amount of weekly homework as detailed below:
YEAR 3: 1½ / 2 hours per week
Reading (minimum of three times per week)
Weekly spelling issued at the start of the term (dated for each week) and tested every Thursday
Literacy and Maths weekly homework issued on Friday to be handed in on Monday

YEAR 4: 2½ hours per week
Regular reading (every night where possible)
Weekly spellings issued at start of each half term (dated by week) and tested each Thursday
Literacy and Maths weekly issued on Friday to be handed in by the following Wednesday
YEAR 5: 3½ hours per week
Regular reading
Spellings issued weekly on Friday and tested on the following Friday
Tables test set on Friday and tested on the following Friday
Literacy and Maths set on Friday and collected on the following Wednesday
YEAR 6: 4½ hours per week.
Monday: Science revision, to be completed for Wednesday. English spellings to be learned and tested on Friday.
Wednesday: English work to be completed by Friday.
Friday: Mathematics to be completed by the following Monday.
Year 6 children can download their homework from the 'BebWeb' section of our site and can also upload their completed written work to their class teacher directly through the upload section of the 'BebWeb'
